EMO???????????

Does emo realy mean that everything's a black abiss, or that you have to slit your wrists in every direction. Or is it just a freedom of well expression?
Do you have to be gay to be an emo?
Or is it about what you listen to, or who or what you talk about?
Can you only like black as a main colour for an outfit, or do you have to be emo?
Depression isn't only just for emos is it? What if you have a familiy crisis and you dad's head falls off, or your boyfriend tells you he dosn't love you because he's not into girls anymore. I mean dosn't that give you a chance to be depressed, or is it only because you just know its going to rain tommoro? And because of that you buy an old school tv that only gets one channel that's about suicidal tips?

I need some help, if thats not what an emo is, then what is one then?
